Other connectors exist — Era, for example, announced itself as the first personal-finance connector in Anthropic's directory in May 2026. Questions people ask before connecting
Can Claude or ChatGPT move my money through Zoninga?
No. Zoninga never moves money — there is no code path that can. Your assistant can read your picture and record bookkeeping with your confirmation; anything that would touch real dollars becomes a proposal you approve, and you execute transfers yourself at your own bank.
Is it safe to let an AI see my finances?
The connection uses OAuth 2.1 — your assistant never sees your password, and you can revoke its access instantly from your profile. Connecting requires a verified email and two-factor authentication, assistants work through purpose-built tools with audit logging (never raw database access), and security scans run on every release.
Does it work with both Claude and ChatGPT?
What can I ask once connected?
Anything your data can answer: “how much did we spend on groceries last month?”, “which debt should I pay first and what does it save?”, “what happens to my cash flow if I finance a car?”, “log $60 for gas and put it in Transportation.” The full tool catalog above is the honest inventory.
Do I need a paid plan?
AI connections are a Zoninga Premium feature, included free in every new account's 14-day trial. Your assistant side has its own requirements: Claude connectors need a paid Claude plan, and ChatGPT connectors are available on Pro, Team, Enterprise, and Edu.
What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol — an open standard that lets AI assistants use external tools over a secure connection. Zoninga ships a remote MCP server, which is why the same connection works across Claude, ChatGPT, and any other MCP client, with OAuth 2.1 and dynamic client registration.
No account? Your assistant can still use the math
Any AI agent can call Zoninga's debt and loan math with no account and no key at https://zoninga.com/mcp/public. Six tools: compare payoff strategies, plan a payoff, solve or amortize a loan, check whether a balance covers upcoming bills, and project a savings goal. Nothing is stored. It runs the same engine as the free calculator, so the numbers match. For real balances, connect the full server below.
Connect in about two minutes
First, create your Zoninga account and add two-factor authentication (we require it before any AI gets access). Then:
Claude
- In claude.ai or the desktop app, open Settings → Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector and enter https://zoninga.com/mcp
- Click Connect — you'll be sent to Zoninga to sign in and approve access. That's it.
Requires a paid Claude plan. Works on web, desktop, mobile, and Claude Code.
ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT, open Settings → Connectors (enable developer mode if prompted).
- Add a connector with the server URL https://zoninga.com/mcp
- Approve the sign-in prompt on Zoninga and you're linked.
